This was purchased as part of a set of minimal kitchen equipment that I needed to avoid eating out every day. I've had rice steamers for many years but havent purchased one in a while as they typically last a long time. The non stick surface was great and it produced perfect rice every time. This is the perfect size for a single person or couple.

by Cecile (Pearl River, NY) 1 review The steamer works well, but you have to steam vegetables or dumplings when you are not steaming rice. This is because the vegetable steamer tray sinks deeply into the rice pot. Otherwise, a great product for the price.

by Carol (LOS ANGELES, CA) I bought this rice cooker because my old one was too large. I like the non-stick surface - it is very easy to clean and I like the small, cute size. The only down-side is that the rice seems to take a lot longer to cook than my old, larger one. As long as you start your cooking sooner, I would recommend this model.
