Once your rice has finished cooking, this small appliance automatically switches to a keep warm function to keep it at the right temperature until dinner is served. The Sanyo rice cooker and vegetable steamer has a white enamel finish on the outside and comes with a glass lid. The easy-to-clean inner pot is nonstick. A stainless steel steaming tray is also included for steaming a variety of fresh vegetables. Included with your Sanyo rice cooker and vegetable steamer is a measuring cup, spatula and a multi-language instructional manual.

Its good points: it seems sturdy, and it does its job efficiently. Its bad points: unlike the shoddily-built Black and Decker steamer - rice cooker that it replaced, it does not have a timer and a chime that rings when the cooking is done, so it needs watching, and much experimentation is needed for the user to judge how much water to use.

by Brook (Pasadena, CA) 1 review I searched for a stainless steel rice cooker and this one came up. I ordered it, because the price was so much lower than the other stainless steel rice cookers. As it turns out, there is a little stainless steel vegetable steamer basket that fits inside the rice cooker to steam vegetables. The actual rice cooker is aluminum coated with teflon. This is not really what I wanted. However, the rice cooker works quite well.
