This pan is not recommended for glass/ceramic-top stoves.

We use it to grill veggies, chicken, steak, and make pancakes, French toast, crepe, scallion pancakes, and pan fry dumplings... You name it. It cooks nicely and often times doesn't need oil. It's a cinch to clean too since it's non-stick. We call it a wonder pan!
by Mark (Mountain View, CA) 1 review Was replacing a slightly larger Calphalon griddle that is not made any more. The All-Clad griddle's non-stick surface works great and the heat from a gas stove seems evenly distributed. The pan is not too heavy either. Time will tell how long it lasts......
by John W (Saint Louis, MO) 8 reviews First thing I noticed is that the box it came in says "made in China". The web site here states "origin: USA". That is what caused me to decide between it and another brand.
Cooking with cast iron is a lot better. I currently only have a medium cast iron skillet that only cooks one pancake at a time. I only use this one if wanting to cook 3 small pancakes at a time.
It takes a lot of patience to get the pan to finally heat the whole surface, longer than 2-3 mins. Even still the surface is hotter towards the center. Best method I've found is to start the preheat on 'med low' a few minutes then turn up flame/heat to medium for another few minutes or so.
The only good things I can say are..... it's easy to clean and has the very comfortable handle that my other All-Clad products have.
by Michele (Tempe, AZ) 1 review This griddle replaces one my husband he brought from France in 1988. This pan is better than the one it replaces. We use it almost daily for pancakes, eggs, grilled cheese, quesadillas, crepes, etc., etc. It is easy to clean too.
