This toaster offers a powerful 1100-watt chamber that provides high speed toasting to quickly brown the surface of the bread and retain the soft texture within. The integrated warming tray is easy to clean, removable and dishwasher safe. Quickly warm breads, muffins, pastries and other baked goods without drying them out. LCD control panel displays special functions, offers 9 levels of browning, and counts down the seconds to the end of the cycle. Display is back lit in blue for high visibility. 3-position metal control lever turns right to toast and left to raise bread for easy one-handed removal. The Stop/Eject button halts the toasting cycle at the touch of a button and the bagel function toasts bagels on the cut side while warming the crust. Defrost function warms frozen bread through and then toasts. It also features a special heat setting for warming baked goods on the integrated warming tray as well as a child lock-out function.

by Camerin (Mill Valley, CA) 8 reviews Nice toaster, worked well for a week and a half. The timer started speeding up and lost it's calibration or something. A new one is on it's way, so we'll see if it holds up. Other than that, it's a nice product...maybe just more technology than is practical...there is something to be said for simplicity.

However, the bred, bagels, & buns I have toasted in it all came out unevenly browned - no better (maybe a little worse) than using a basic $20 toaster. If I were buying again, I probably would not spend the extra money that this toaster cost.
