Le Creuset Kiwi Moroccan Tagine:

This unusual-looking cooking vessel, known as a Tagine, resembles those used in Africa for traditional stews that simmer for hours at a time. This shallow, round cooking pot has a cone-shaped lid called a canoon that traps the steam and prevents the stew or vegetables from drying out as they cook. It holds 1 1/2 quarts and is 10-in. high, 12-in. wide and the bottom dish has a depth of 2-in.

About Le Creuset…
Since 1925, artisans have been crafting Le Creuset cookware in the French village of Fresnoy Le Grand. Each piece of Le Creuset cast iron cookware is handcast, polished, double enamel-coated and then fired, resulting in some of the finest quality cookware available. Cast iron is one of the best materials for distributing heat gently and thoroughly and is ideal for induction ranges. The strong enamel coating will not absorb odors or flavors, and is easy to clean. Heavy lids securely seal in moisture and flavor. Le Creuset cookware comes in a variety of sizes, colors and styles to match any kitchen and cooking preference. So lasting, you'll pass it on to the next generation of promising cooks. (Item #392160) w12

I have wanted this item for a long time but the price was too high. The special price made it more affordable and I made the splurge.

if you want to cook a meal for 4, you'll have no problem.
but if you want to cook for a group - ala a North African tagine meal - this is too small.
nice to have in the kitchen for people who enjoy cooking and trying new things. doubt it will become your go-to pot.

The chicken I fixed was excellent. I have used it twice and found the chicken was very good, as well as the vegetables. Everything blended, but had its own flavors. My guests were extremely pleased with the results.
