Le Creuset Dune Round Dutch Oven:

This 2-qt. cast iron Round Dutch Oven is an excellent choice of cookware for beginning or expert chefs. The cast iron construction has superior heat retention, which makes it easier to cook at very low temperatures for extended periods of time. The tight fitting lids help to seal in moisture allowing for tender meat dishes and flavorful soups and stews.

About Le Creuset... Since 1925, artisans have been crafting Le Creuset cookware in the French village of Fresnoy Le Grand. Each piece of Le Creuset cast iron cookware is handcast, polished, double enamel-coated and then fired, resulting in some of the finest quality cookware available. Cast iron is one of the best materials for distributing heat gently and thoroughly and is ideal for induction ranges. The strong enamel coating will not absorb odors or flavors, and is easy to clean. Heavy lids securely seal in moisture and flavor. Le Creuset cookware comes in a variety of sizes, colors and styles to match any kitchen and cooking preference. So lasting, you'll pass it on to the next generation of promising cooks. (Item #404585) w6

There is no substitute for true quality. Le Creuset may cost more, but it lasts a lifetime and is just beautiful. I have tried the others: Martha Stewart, Mario Batali, etc., but they chip and don't hold up to constant use. I purchased this one because we have others in different sizes that are still in excellent condition.

The good stuff...

This is my favorite pot ever. I have purchased several of them, for myself, and as gifts for my children, who I am trying to introduce to fine cookware. This particular size is perfect as a rice pot, among it's other fine qualities. I think that all of LeCreuset's Dutch Ovens are worth the price, but sometimes, this company puts these sweet pots out into the world for half price. Don't hang around waiting for this to happen, ...but when it occasionally does, ...jump on it!

We love the dutch oven. My husband is thoroughly satisfied. he uses it when making gravy and I use it when making my queso dip. No sticking is wonderful.
easy to carry smaller amounts of food to and from parties and it retains heat.

Pot Review

This little 2 qt. Dune Round Dutch Oven is awesome. Just the right size for small veggies. I love each color that we purchased. Dune, Blue, Red, Orange, Aqua Blue, Chestnut, Kiwi Green pots that we received. We only to return one pot that was damaged and looking forward to receiving the new one. I can tell my husband to hand me a Chestnut pot and he knows exactly what I want. They are however expensive, but I have really enjoyed cooking with them. These pots will last me my lifetime. Thank you!
