All-Clad Stainless Steel Skillet:
All Clad is known for its superb quality in cookware and this 12-in. slope-sided Skillet demonstrates why. It combines the excellent heat conductivity of copper with the easy maintenance and beauty of stainless steel. Crafted in a unique five-ply construction, the cookware contains a core of pure copper that spreads heat quickly and evenly across the bottoms of pots and pans and all the way up the sides. Its polished 18/10 stainless-steel handle is riveted to the pan for strength, grooved on the top and rounded on the bottom for comfort, and holed in the end for hanging on a hook or peg. The long handle stays cool on the stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat. Hand wash, as dishwasher-use will deteriorate the pan's exterior beauty.

by Marilyn (Duncombe, IA) 3 reviews I purchased the 12 inch Stainlesss Steel Skillet by All-Clad to replace a non-stick skillet. I am very pleased with this copper core skillet, and plan to purchase one at a time until I have a set. I just purchased the 10 inch skillet. They cook so evenly and clean up is a breeze, because you never need to use high heat. Now I think that these pans have been a chef's secret all along. The 12 inch skillet is very large, and easily holds four to six chicken breasts or pork chops. The lid from my electric skillet will fit this pan. This pan has been used daily and looks like new. Just a note that metal utensils will scratch the inside of the pan, so I continue to use my non-stick utensils on the stainless steel pan. I have never paid so much money for a pan before, but because of the performance, classic look and ease of clean-up, they are well worth the price.
