Dyson **DC15 The Ball Animal Vacuum:
Forget what you know about traditional upright vacuum cleaners. The Dyson Ball has forged a new path for cleaning all floors. With a slight turn of the wrist, it turns with you to glide smoothly around tight corners, furniture and other obstacles. The low center of gravity reduces weight and increases maneuverability, and soft wheels are designed to tuck out of the way while in use. If animal hair has taken over your living space then you need the Dyson Ball Animal vacuum cleaner. Unlike other uprights, it boasts a mini turbine head to clean fur from stairs, sofas - even cars - and it comes with a low reach floor tool, perfect for cleaning under beds and other furniture. No more rearranging the room to vacuum! The included carpet care kit contains Zorb powder and Dyzolve spray for spills and marks. Especially unique to all Dyson vacuums is its patented Root Cyclone technology, a centrifugal force suction that remains constant, unlike other vacuums that can lose up to 50 percent suction while operating. Save money and time without the cost and mess of frequent bag changes. The clear bin lets you easily see when it requires emptying - a hygienic process that requires the simple push of a button. Dyson proves “no loss of suction”, “constant suction” and “doesn’t lose suction” using the IEC 60312 Cl 2.9 test standard. Other features include:
Telescoping wand that instantly releases and expands to reach stairs, ceiling corners and awkward places
Central pivot head that automatically adjusts for floor height to maintain perfect contact
Brushbar that turns off to protect rugs and delicate floors
Wide channel that picks up bigger pieces of dirt
Easy-to-carry ergonomic design
Made from the same material used for crash helmets - durable, tough polycarbonate
Brush, floor and crevice tools included and store conveniently on top
Lifetime HEPA filtration for cleaner expelled air; approved for allergy sufferers
2 year limited warranty

by marcy (Clayton, CA) 3 reviews OK, I've probably had about 8 or 9 vacuum cleaners in my lifetime and by far this is the best. I vacuumed a few days before this one arrived and when it arrived I vaccumed again, I can't believe how much dog hair and dirt I got up out of the carpet. I wish I had done my mattress for the first go around when the canister was still clear and free of dust, so I could see how much is on something I think is clean. Now I don't mind vacuuming the stairs because the attachment is so long I don't have to balance it on a stair. I found with the ball it was so easy to move around furniture and get under the beds. I don't know why I didn't get this one in the first place but wanted to save a few dollars and got a cheaper brand.
by Donna (Watertown, MA) 5 reviews I've used an Oreck for years. I got the Dyson Animal because I have 3 cats, a 2-year old, and a husband who is allergic to cats. I'm very impressed with the suction of this vacuum. When I first tried it, I vacuumed only 2 small rugs AFTER they had already been vacuumed with another vac. The canister filled up immediately with about 2 large handfulls of cat hair! Ugh. Now I feel like my house is really getting cleaned.
What I dislike about this product is that the hose seems a bit too short, and it's awkward switching to the hose and the extension wand. I'm still trying to get the hang of it. Also, it's a bit pricey. But so far I'm very happy with this vacuum.
by kim (Yellow Springs, OH) 7 reviews I love this vacum cleaner. I love the way it turns around corners and all the accessories that come with it. Its not as loud as others I have had and it is easy to empty. The color and design of it is beautiful. It picks up everythings and so far there right I haven't lost suction.
by Dana (WASHINGTON, NJ) 1 review We have a shephard/lab mix and 2 cats. Weekly I dump 5 canisters. I have had this for 6 months and it is still sucking up all the dirt and animal hair. I really like the ball action since it swivels when you vacuum and is much easier on my back than regular uprights or canister vacuums. The only complant I have is that the hand beater brush just isn't strong enough to do the carpeting on the steps. I am sure over time that you will improve this feature. On a scale from 1-10 I would give it a 9.5
