by Donna (ST JOHN, VI) 3 reviews I had difficulty in sealing frozen chicken breasts. Some juices released and the package didn't seal properly, allowing air to enter.
I also found that the vacuum process varies from weak to strong.
This doesn't work if you'r thinking of sealing wet foods for flat freezing (sauces, chili, stews, soups). The product works best when the item to be sealed is flash frozen and has no liquids to be sucked up to the seal area by the vacuum.

I am very impressed with how it works but I think more instructions need to be included, i.e. like any liquids cause sealing failure. On items I have sealed successfully - wow, I am impressed. I have only had this about a month but I use it every chance I get.

I think that the lid locks are a good feature and I under stand why a good seal is needed to extract the air, but for some it is too difficult to operate. I had purchased the Seal-A-Meal for my 85-year-old Mother. Unfortunately, she is not strong enough to lock the lid in place, which prevents the operation of the sealer.
