Makes an excellent cup of coffee, just remember to take out the basket before serving so you don't get the grinds in your cup. You can use with or without the circle filters for the percolators. I am using this more often than my Mr. Coffee pot now. Love the sound; reminds me of being at my grandmother's house when she brewed coffee.
by Alyce (Church Point, LA) 1 review First, good luck finding the right coffee grinds for this percolator. Even custom grinding the beans gives you grinds in the coffee. The percolating time is too short so you have extremely weak coffee. The reviews before I bought this product were all positive. Those must have been written by the Cuisinart people. The coffee is extemely hot but terribly weak no matter how many grinds you use. I did find filters made specificlally for percolators on internet and have yet to receive them; hopefully, this will make a difference. I'm so disappointed thus far.

Having been a percolator user for many, many years, my only negative comment is that it is noticeably noisier than most percolators. Not that big a deal though and it's kind of nice to hear the coffee perk. My family enjoys it and the coffee.
