by KERRY (Fredericksburg, PA) 1 review I purchased this item after viewing it on the FINE LIVING SHOW ( I Whant That! ). for my wife who loves wine around the holidays. The first bottle we tryed to open the wine exploded out of the bottle and all over me and the guests watching. the directions say to push the botton once but does not say for how long. I just listen till I did not hear any more air going into the bottle. The rest of the bottles we kept holding the botton for different times but after a total of six bottles of wine we have had no luck. You must also watch that when the cork does not come out, the hole in the cork now becomes a wine fountain shooting wine out of the bottle in a thin stream. My wife and i will continue to use and standard corkscrew and try to contact zevro to return this item.
by Alice (West Kingston, RI) 2 reviews This was given as a gift and when the recipient opened the first bottle of wine with this wine bottle opener, the wine sprayed everywhere. His son tried a second bottle of wine, bringing it outside first as a cautionary measure, and the same thing happened. The wine sprayed out of the bottle all over the grass.
by ellen (Dorchester Center, MA) 1 review i have never been successful in opening a bottle of wine in my life! this product makes it so easy to do-the only draw back is the product is only good for a certain amount of openings something like 50. after that it would be nice to find out if the pin inside the product is replaceable or the product is of no use any longer after the 50 or so openings. overall it works for us because we are not big wine drinkers and it makes me look like i have been opening wine forever!!!!
