by Yuliya (APO, AP) 8 reviews Our previous deep fryer was not that old, but it haven't had removable bowl, so cleanup was tricky and with frequent use I couldn't avoid cleaning the whole thing in the sink. After some time the electronic timer went bad, it was also impossible to clean oil from white plastic and some hard-to-clean places. It was a time for a new fryer. It had to be with removable bowl, stainless and I wanted oil filtration, so I ordered T-Fal (similar to Emeril model). Leakage in reviews didn't stop me - I was hoping to the best. Well, it leaked and I had to return it. The return and refund were quick and I already had another T-Fal fryer in mind. This one is simply perfect - you can clean the lid filter, parts are dishwasher safe, timer, ready light... it heats fast, holds generous amount of food AND you can lift the basket for draining oil without opening the lid. And it is twice cheaper than the one with oil filtration! I would say it is ideal choice and I really recommend it.

It is sturdy and simple in construction, if perhaps austere compared to other "family designs." It includes important safety features like being able to lift the basket before opening the top and a "trip-proof" power cord.
The unit disassembles into several components for cleaning. The power unit is attached to the heating coils that are immersed into the tub of oil. The oil tub and basket are machine washable. The other components clean easily by hand with soap and water. The unit heats up quickly and the capacity is reasonable for a family of 3-4. It includes a mechanical timer to turn the fryer off after the items are cooked.
This model's only downside is that it doesn't employ a system of air-tight seals to trap the cooking odors. In addition, because the top lid removes completely, the lift must be carefully moved to avoid coming into contact with the hot vapors underneath.
Overall this fryer is a simple, rugged design that should give years of service.

The basket is not as deep as our older T-Fal But if the is as good as the other one was I hope to get some use out of it. Product looks well built. Have not used it yet but have no doubt as to its quality Time will tell.
