Jura-Capresso Infinity Conical Burr Grinder:
This Capresso Infinity grinder offers exceptional results for home, the office or wherever fine coffee is served. Choose from any of the 16 settings (four each for extra fine, fine, regular and coarse) using the commercial grade, solid conical steel burrs that precisely grind your roasted beans. A gear reduction motor works slowly with little noise; the reduced static and heat buildup produce more flavorful results. It holds 8.8-oz. of beans, and features a timer than can be set from 5 to 60 seconds. There's even a Pulse setting for a quick whir. Comes complete with cleaning brush and measuring scoop. by Karen (Fairfax, VA) 1 review Looked at several burr grinders and this had the best reviews for the cost. It is quieter than the Cruisart one, but it does have alot of grind left in the chamber even after it is done grinding. Not a big problem just need to remember to clean it out after a couple of grinds.
by Neal (Lancaster, PA) 1 review We had a Cuisinart grinder for 3 yrs but the last 6 mo or so, I was having to clean it every morn... thats the last thing you want, when you want and need fresh coffee. I like the Jura because of the conical burr that is replaceable (instead of purchasing an entire new grinder). Gives a nice even grind and does not burn the beans like the Cuisinart was doing toward the end when it would load up. Only complaint is the hopper for the grounds... better then the "ultra static-y" Cuisinart, but still it harbors some static. I would have loved the straight drop Kitchen Aid with the glass hopper but could not venture the extra hunderd plus dollars. Otherwise Jura provides GREAT value!
by sara (Richfield, NC) 3 reviews My previous grinder was a Solis, a very substantial machine. But it did eventually quit. The Jura-Capresso is less expensive but also smaller and lighter. The arrangement of burrs, collar, hopper, etc., seem to be the same and the grind seems the same. So the telling factor will be how long it lasts. Over all, I'm content with it.
