The LED panel illuminates according to the selected setting on the variable browning control. The display acts as a toasting progress indicator, counting down how long is left in the toasting cycle. The toaster beeps when the cycle is complete.
An internal smart chip lowers bread into the toasting slots with a single touch and also regulates the toasting time. On the ‘A Bit More™’ setting, bread is automatically lowered for additional toasting time.
The ‘Auto Lift and Look™’ feature raises the bread carriage during toasting without canceling or resetting the cycle. This enables you to view, and if necessary, cancel the browning cycle. The dual independent toast controls allow each pair of slots to work independently and toast to different preferences.

Wide slots accept bagels and muffins. Slots are not particularly long, so you have to trim the ends off of longer items or they get stuck and burned. LED lights give visual of toasting progress. 'Lift and look' and 'a bit more' buttons are occasionally useful. Slide lever heat control has to be moved to level 4 of 5 to get significant toasting. Beeper sounds when toast is done. With a little practice things can be toasted pretty evenly.
This is a MUCH better toaster than the T-Fal 2 slice or the DeLonghi 2 slice, both of which we tried, found to be unsatisfactory and returned to the seller. On the other hand, they were a lot less expensive.
Bottom line: Looks very nice, toasts OK, price is kind of high.
