by Elizabeth (Red Creek, NY) 1 review Unfortunately the glaze on the ceramic insert bowl cracked off after just one use, revealing the pottery beneath and I have to send the product back for a replacement which is now out of stock. I did not expect shoddy workmanship from Cuisinart.

Not only does it look great compared to most of the dowdy-looking slow cookers on the market, but it's nice and compact and perfect for 1-2 people and is so easy to use. The lid and the ceramic inner pot are very sturdy, and the controls are straightforward and super easy to use. I had to cook a chuck roast and only had 30 minutes so I just put it on high- it came out just right.

I love the controls and the stainless finish. The insert is good and substantial, the black looks good on the table for serving, all in all it is better than I hoped for and I know I will get a lot of use out of it now that the weather is turning colder and I prepare those slow cooked soups and stews.

My favorite features are the digital display and the retractable cord. And unlike some of the other reviewers, I haven't had any problems with the lid rattling. I think this machine is worth every penny.
