Rachael Ray Orange Oval Dutch Oven:

This dutch oven is designed to perform flawlessly on the stovetop or in the oven. It has an oval shape for a better fit on the stovetop when using multiple pieces and features a large cooking surface to brown or sear meats with ample room to add additional ingredients. The dutch oven's lid fits snugly to lock in moisture and flavors, making this pan perfect for making one-dish meals that may be finished on the stovetop or in the oven such as a tender pot roast or savory stew. The colorful enamel surface means no pre-seasoning is required. Ideal for a multitude of uses from oven to table.

In a short time, Rachael Ray has radically changed the way America cooks dinner. Her perky girl-next-door swagger, her catchphrases for techniques, and her dinner ideology of simpler, less expensive and just-in-time have sold billions of books and made her one of the top personalities in food television.

I've used it once for roasting meat and it worked very well. I'm very happy with it for the price.

I was excited to get this casserole because a lot of recipes call for starting out on the stovetop and finishes up in the oven. Previously I would have to switch pans but now its all done in one and everything turns out beautiful. Cleans up very nicely too.

One pot cooking at it's best!

I absolutely love my new pot. Made a chili in it the first day I got it and it was fabulous. Cooked up the ground beef in it first and then added the rest all in the same pot! Distributed the heat evenly. Even on my glass top stove. Cast iron is not reccomended for them but with the ceramic coating and a little care, it works out fine. Cleanup is a breeze! This is my new favorite pot/pan/casserole to cook in.

I have not stopped using this since I got it. You can cook anything and everything in it. It's not just for slow and low cooking. You can use it for soups, vegies, just about anything. I love to take onions and bacon and brussel sprouts with a bit of garlic throw them all in the pot and just let the magic of cast iron do it's job. It cooks so evenly and holds the temperature, that the brussel spouts just breakdown and become almost sweet like candy. I have never gotten those results with any other pan. They have now even become my kids favorie vegie, as long as I cook them in the pretty blue pan they said. Thank you Racheal Ray for giving the home cook, beautiful cookware, thats easy and efficent to use and makes the everyday Mom's life a little easier and more enjoyable. Sincerely, Dawn Wulf
