by Valerie (Maineville, OH) 1 review For the price, this is a good pot. It would cost 2-4 times as much to get an oval stockpot from one of the top brand like LeCreuset. My primary disappointment is that it comes with instructions to hand wash. Somehow I understood it was ok for the dishwasher, and I avoid hand-wash cookware whenever I can. So if you don't mind hand-washing, this is a good deal.

We have learned that heavier pots and pans usually cook better due to the way they transfer heat from the heat source tyo the contents of the pot. I expected the pot to be heavier at the price we paid, but it does a great job, and I am sure we will wind up using it for something other than boiling water for pasta. We have used it twice in only a couple of weeks and so far we are very happy.
