	Rich and Hearty Thanksgiving

Nothing's better than a harvest of creamy roasted butternut and sweet potato soup followed by a traditional main event of turkey with gravy and stuffing. Steamed asparagus with toasted hazelnuts provide a flavorful green side. And finally for dessert, elegant Riesling baked pears are perfectly in synch with the season and light enough to please the fullest of bellies.
Preparation Plan: Prepare the soup the day ahead. Make the pears in the morning. 5 ½ hours before serving, prepare the turkey and stuffing and put turkey in oven. Remove turkey from the oven then make the gravy and cook off the extra stuffing. Reheat the soup. Carve the turkey. Prepare the asparagus and set aside, covered. Ladle the soup and swirl in the sour cream. You can either serve the soup as a first course or as a side dish.
