Ambrosia Salad
This is very similar to the "Watergate Salad" that I first made in the '70's. I used canned fruit salad. It was undrained to help dissolve the dry pudding mix, and I did not use sour cream.

Ambrosia Salad by Bev,NB
This recipe sounds wonderful. But I wonder if the pudding mix is added dry or it is made into the pudding before adding it to the salad? This information is not included in the directions.

Great summer salad!
Reminds me of a recipe that came out in the 70's called "Watergate Salad." It didn't call for oranges or pineapple chunks. Instead, it used a small can of crushed pineapple, which was not drained. To this day, everyone still asks for the recipe.

Ambrosia Salad
the ingredients sounds good, but the instructions were extremely limited. Do I make the pudding before I mix with the fruit or do I just put the dry powder in with the fruit. I notice there is no liquid????? What's up!!
