Bad directions. Is the proof reader on vacation?
I have 3 nieces and they decided they wanted to learn how to bake this summer. I have them go online and pick out recipes that they would like to try. When they read the directions to me I honestly thought they were joking around. After reading the directions; I told them see this is what happens when the proof reader takes a vacation.

Poorly written recipe insructions
poorly written instructions ... as stated in an earlier review you say to use 1 (one) 9 inch round cake pan and then instruct to cut the ROUND cake lengthwise ... you give a complex pattern for placing the fruit, yet no picture to help with the outcome ...

Poor Directions
I am disappointed at cooking.com for posting such a poorly written recipe. The recipe says to use one 9" round pan - this would overflow with batter from a cake mix! Then it instructs you to cut the cake lengthwise. Do tell - how does a circle have a length? And on the oddities go. Disappointing!
