I have made this many times...
but omit the dill. I use just a box of frozen chopped spinach and by the time i drain it there really is not alot. 30oz is weight with liquid. After thawed, I put into a flour sack type dish towel and wring out the liquid. Works beautifully!! I have made this for the past 4-5 years and it is a recipe I found online, so this is not an original - other than dill.

This recipe's proportions are really out of whack
I agree with the other reviewers, the proportions of this recipe make no sense at all. With the stems and bread crumbs in the food processor, not even half of the spinach and sausage mixture would fit into the bowl. When processed, it turned out a baby food consistency. Way too much filling for 2 lbs of mushrooms. I served this at my Super Bowl party and there were a lot of leftover mushrooms. This recipe is just not that good. There are many better stuffed mushroom recipes out there.

This is a non-recipie
The quantity of ingredients make no sence. 2 pounds of spinach against 1 1/2 sausage????? Ich! 1/4 (of what) chopped dill chopped again???? I'm guessing about 8 oz of stuffing per mushroom- Lets try again and shame on you publishers for not catching it!

A HIT! But I would make some changes...
Qty of ingredients yields WAY more than 2 lbs of mushrooms can hold. I was not a huge fan of this recipe. Texture was great, from the stuffing to the baked mushrooms. Appearance of the finished product was wonderful (see picture above). Big beef with this recipe: couldn’t taste the sausage; spinach and dill overpowered the dish (used 1/4 cup of dill). I would use less of both (especially dill). BUT I took this dish to work and the plate was empty QUICK and it received many compliments.
