Sooo good
This is the best cornbread I've ever made. The only thing I did differently was use regular sour-cream (what I had), and used bacon grease in the pan and instead of the melted butter. Absolutely delicious.

An added plus for this great recipe!
This recipe has all the "required" qualities for excellent cornbread, though I've never tried the sour cream before. The true secret to excellent corn bread is to have an oiled iron skillet REALLY hot when you pour the batter in so that an incredible slightly crunchy crust forms immediately while the interior bakes as that soft succulent wonderful bread!

ABSOLUTE BEST !!!
This is the best bread you will ever taste. I usually omit the sugar but sometimes add corn, Mexican corn,shredded cheese,salsas,chopped green onions,or different spices and it is absolutely wonderful.
