Very satisfying dish for a weeknight supper
The only change I made to the recipe was to use a chopped chipotle pepper and a spoonful of sauce as a substitute for the chipotle powder which I didn't have. Taste for salt--my chili needed some. The cornbread batter seemed thin but when baked was perfect. The melted cheddar cheese on top was delicious. I would definitely make the dish again. My husband also gave it a thumbs up!

Made Just the Chili Part
I didn't want to make the cornbread part, so I just made the chili. Followed the directions exactly. Chili not good. Maybe combined with the cornbread it tastes better. Just the chili alone, not so much. And pretty labor-intensive for chili.

Can this be frozen?
Hi, I love this recipe and wondered if anyone has tried to freeze this and thawed it to cook at a later time?
