dissapointing
My Quiche was tasty, no thanks to this recipe. The crust was so bad I actually threw it out and used my basic pie dough recipe (who uses melted butter in a crust!!). I also had to double the amount of egg bacon and cheese to fill a 10" tart pan. I think that's why the other reviewers were burning theirs, not nearly enough filling. I then proceeded to cook it just like a pie, 15 minuted on 450F, 30 on 375F.

Temperatures way too high
400 degrees for 30 minutes is sufficient. Temperatures ascribed will burn the quiche. The crust is perfect and easy once trying and mastering. Besure to cook onions to "golden brown". Hightens sweetness of onion.

Oven Temp Too High For Baking Time!
I liked these ingredients, but that oven temp would wreck any quiche. Wonder if it's a typo? I also used store-bought short-crust pastry & followed instructions to a T, except that, like Jay, I took it out after 20min. A 9-inch (23cm) pie plate is plenty big. The quiche is thin, due to only 2 eggs (most have 4). Didn't think onions overpowered; cooked them till they were quite brown. After comparing with some other quiche recipes, next time plan to turn the oven down to 375ºF (190ºC) & 30min.

Awful
This is an awful recipe. I had high hopes for it's simplicity. Used a premade crust rather than making my own. They came in a package of 2. I followed recipe exactly, 45 minutes at 450 deg, burnt it to a crisp. The 2nd crust I watched closely at 20 minutes it was done. Golden brown. Tasted awful, bacon flavor disappeared amidst the onions, chesses was just as absent.
