Something significant is missing here????
First, there is not ginger in the ingredient list. After carefully following the recipe and directions, I was very, very disappointed with the results. I was planning to serve it to guests. The batter could not be poured and was hardly enough for half the pan. It would have been impossible to turn upside down. Please check this over and make the necessary corrections or delete it......

No ginger in gingerbread cake??
This recipe lists no ginger in its ingredients. It is obviously incorrect. Epicurious has the correct recipe on its site at: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Upside-Down-Pear-Gingerbread-Cake-106181

after reading the ingredience I wonder why it would tast like gingerbread without any ginger in it?
