Great Recipe
Made this twice, following the recipe the first time but found the tomato paste flavor a bit off-putting and had to make adjustments the second time. Like I suspected, the tomato paste was far more effective cooking it down and browning it after the flour was browned and before adding the wine. Plus I substituted a cup of leftover coffee for the water. For personal taste I sprinkled the browned beef with a tablespoon of Thyme leaves and used 2 cloves of garlic.
