Easy, but not very good
I served this to my bridge group and nobody complained but more than half was left over. It was tasteless and dry. I won't bother to try to fix it, it shows no promise. This is the second recipe from this site that has hit the garbage. One more and I give up on them altogether. These recipes are obviously untested. Caveat emptor on the web-- guess you get what you pay for.

it must be the pesto
i don't think this is flavorless at all. granted it's not overpowering flavor -- my chain-smoking mother might not taste it as strongly as i do. still, hub makes an awesome pesto and i really think that makes the dish. used farfalle instead of shells and slightly more cheese as fresh moz comes in an 8oz package so why not use it all. also tossed in a cup or so of baby bellas because i had them to spare. kids ate it up. will certainly make again.

great dinner
well i went by the recipe but instead of pesto i used homemade creamy garlic sauce... SOOOO delish...

lets Pep this up!
I would suggest ground turkey or maybe a blend. I would try adding a few spices to bring up the flavor, but and excellent idea for freezing portions for later use.

Reduce the sodium
This is a good receipe but high in sodium--1796mg. I reduced the sodium by using no salt added natural canned tomatoes.

FLAVORLESS
This was so boring and flavorless....I even added cayenne pepper and x-tra cheese....it's more suited for a nursing home cafeteria.

Great meal!!
This was a great meal, the family loved it. I liked it because it was something different with a different flavor. I also added some garlic to the meat. I think the next time I will maybe add some kind of vegetable to it as well.

Very good!
I made this with a store bought jar of tomato pesto. Also used a mozzarella/provolone mix. Family enjoyed it!
