Easy and excellent seasonal recipe
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. I've made this twice now and it's in my recipe file for the long haul. I went easy on the cloves (scant 1/4 tsp). I used a casserole dish for this and there was no spill-over. This transports well for pot luck, but stop and pick up your ice cream on the way so it doesn't melt.

Twist on Traditional Apple Crisp
My family and I happen to like a sweet verses the tart from the cranberries. I made a few of my own changes. I used golden raisins and added a few currants. I love nuts and so I added a few chopped pecans to the topping. The last change was that I used Truvia sugar to lower the calorie count. It came out the same as if I had of used granulated sugar. It can be made ahead.
