Tasty, but cooking time way off
I made this recipe according to the directions, other than using ham instead of the prosciutto, and while it was very tasty, it took almost twice as long to cook than the recipe stated. I will make again - but will plan on it taking much longer than stated in the recipe.

@Amber, MA: Jarlsberg cheese *is* "good" swiss type of cheese (although it comes from Norway, not Switzerland). Jarlsberg has a distinct, sweet/salty, nutty flavor that will be missed if you go with a cheaper, domestic variety. You might get away with substituting Emmentaler, but the creamy consistency of Jarlsberg makes it ideal for melting and cooking. Jarlsberg also has a stronger flavor that will hold up better when combined with other flavors in a recipe.

Great Holiday Recipe!
My husband said that this is the best way I have ever served eggs. I prepared it while the kids were playing with their gifts from Santa. Delicious!

Quick, easy, impressive
I cut the recipe in half and added sliced mushrooms and onions. It took longer to cook, because of the mushrooms and onions. I used ham, b/c that's what I had. We will make this again, but I will use a good Swiss cheese, which is about half the price of the Jarlsberg -- once it's in a casserole, I'm not sure it makes much difference. It seems to be a rather forgiving recipe -- I wasn't exact with the measurements and it was still delicious. A good basic recipe that allows creativity.
