The recipe stated 6 oz. or 1 1/2 sticks of butter, not cups. That is correct. I think you were reading sticks as cups. Haven't tried recipe yet but it sounds good. I wish this site showed more photos of the finished products.

Great cake!
This is a fabulous cake, moist and chocolaty. And to Myra, the recipe says 6 ounces of butter of 1 1/2 sticks (which is 6 ozs.) not 1 1/2 cups.

I would not try this recipe until ingredients are corrected. This calls for 6 oz. of butter, and than gives this measurement as 1 1/2 cups. 1 1/2 cups is 12 ounces of butter. From 6-12 ounces is a significant difference.
