Bland. Bland.
Bland. You have to tinker if you want flavor. A good opportunity for cooks who like to make a recipe their own, because as is, it's bland.

Everyone liked these with some changes
I increased the sour cream to almost one cup and stopped the baking at 9 to 9 1/2 minutes. They are more of a biscuit consistency than a real moist cookie but the 6 person test group I served all said they liked them and would have them again. I did use macadamia nuts and feel these are a better choice than pecans or walnuts.

Disappointing
My husband & I love coconut and macadamia nuts but this recipe was not at all to our liking. It was expensive to make & not like. My husband took the cookies to work & they were all gone within an hour, we must be the wierd ones.

Not great.. but
OK.. I had frozen coconut, which is not as sweet as Baker's or other bagged brands, but the recipe did not specify fresh, frozen or sweetened. This made for a mildly sweet taste. The cookies are more like tea cakes in texture. I would have preferred a chewy cookie. I ended up drizzling them in dark chocolate to try and up my odds that someone would eat them, besides me! I'll probably try them again with sweetened coconut, but I think I'd add more to the recipe.

Blah
I found these to be dry and overly cakey. I expected a much better cookie based on the coconut & macadamia nuts. I wouldn't bother making them again.

Not a sweet cookie
I found this to be a somewhat dry, almost biscuit-like cookie. After the first tray came out I thought they needed something. I ended up drizzling ganache over them and that made a big improvement. I don't know if I would make them again, but the way they turned out after the addition of chocolate, I just might.

Nothing to rave about!
This is a very AVERAGE tasting cookie. I was expecting something more special w/the expensive macadamia nuts and the coconut, but this is almost bland. I decided to try adding white chocolate chips, and that did improve the taste. I probably will not waste my time and money making this cookie again.

Coconut-Mac Cookies
The store was out of macadamia nuts...what store is out of nuts! I used almonds and then ran out of them and used the remaining of walnuts. Turned out great! I would only bake them 9-10 minutes to prevent from drying the cookies out!
