Made a Couple Mistakes, But Still Very Good
The filling was delicious. I'm not sure why I always misunderstand this, but I always think that "chocolate wafers" is Oreos and it doesn't quite work because of the filling - I think I probably could have just skipped the butter because of the Oreos being held together by the filling. I also got lazy and put the chocolate lace right on the pie - don't do this. The chocolate topping hardens and then smashes the pie when you cut it.

Big hit, and easy as pie!
This is a terrific dessert for peanut butter lovers, and is especially easy if a few shortcuts are taken. I use a purchased chocolate-cookie crust, the recipe's filling, a dollop of whipped cream, and a generous drizzle of chocolate syrup instead of the lace. Very rich, very satisfying...

If you like peanut butter this is your pie!
I have made this pie for both Father's Day & Easter and its everyone's favorite! Going to make again for Memorial Day. Its so easy & tasty. Don't have peanut butter on hand? Put peanuts into a food processor and let it run for approx. 4-6 mins. until you have creamy p. butter without the additives. No need to add a thing.
