Awesome!
My husband said this is the best thing I have EVER made. I don't know if that is true, but this dish was delicious. Get the hot sauce in the red bottle that they have on the table at Asian restaurants. It adds a wonderful kick. I followed the recipe exactly, and it came out perfect. Next time I might add mushrooms, but that's it!

Missing the Real Flavor
This is not a Yankee Pot Roast in my family. Yankee Pot Roast is simple and yet the essence of beef, not a combination of oriental flavors and everything but the kitchen sink. The Yankee Pot Roast I have eaten for the past 65 years is browned then slowly braised in less than half a cup of water. Later in its cooking it is surrounded only by onions, potatoes, and carrots which then cook in the amazing amount of tasty au jus that has gathered in the pan.

Fantastic!
My family loved this pot roast. Wonderful blending of flavors. The Asian Chili Sauce is the crowning touch. This will definitely be added as one of my go to recipes.

Excellent as prepared. No changes needed. Can't believe there are only 2 reviews. It is now my pot roast recipe of choice.

This is the best pot roast I have ever tasted! The chili sauce does not make it to hot. I highly recomend this. Sharon CA.

My family really enjoyed this. I left out the chili sauce and all the butter, added a dash of balsamic vinegar and threw it all in the crockpot. At the end of cooking I then thickened the sauce with flour. Very tasty.
