Brick baking pot
This recipe must be British - for those wondering what a "brick" is in this circumstance, it's a terracotta/clay baking pot: http://www.amazon.com/Henry-Watson-Clay-Baking-Brick/dp/B0006FRZPC/ref=cm_rdp_product http://www.louispotts.com/acatalog/mason-cash-home-baking-clay-baking-brick.html http://www.legendcookshop.co.uk/baking-bricks/ Also, it might be hard for the Americans to find a 4 pounds turkey, I wonder if the recipe is in fact for a 4 KILOGRAMS (~9 pounds) bird...

Do you mean "Clay Pot?"
The clay pot is an ancient method of baking foods in extremely high temperatures; however, it is NOT a brick! The best known manufacturer is Romertopf in Germany. There are--well, were--several sizes available and it is best to use the size that fits your meal; that is, the most successful meals fill the pot without leaving much room. While I appreciate the desire for a quick turkey, where does one find a 4-lb bird unless it's a chicken! Everything I've cooked in mine has been great.

What's a brick and where do I get it?
Wow, turkey in two hours with delicious baked cranberry sauce? Sounds great. Two things: the recipe could use a link to a brick, whatever that is. Second, what if I can't find a four pound turkey? How big a turkey is the maximum for a brick? I would appreciate information as to how to adjust cooking time per pound of turkey. Other than that, it's fabulous. Wouldn't it be nice not to have to get up at 6 on Thanksgiving to cook a turkey for 8 hours?
