Really good.
My DH said needs more 'fruit'. He's diabetic so I used Splenda/sugar blends for the brown and white sugars. (which is 1/4 c of each instead of 1/2 c - as directed on splenda package.) Next time will try substituting some applesauce for some of the butter. and I like adding the nuts as another reviewer suggested. Definitely easy to make.

Great cookie,even better!
This is a great cookie, but even better if you add a little orange extract along with the vanilla and use orange-flavored dried cranberries (Orange Craisins). I usually toss in a sprinkling of orange zest as well. My grandkids tell me they don't like cranberries while gobbling these cookies down.

Crunchy, chewy deliciousness
These cookies were very successful with a good balance of spiciness and sweetness of the craisins. They are really easy to make. I would recommend trying this recipe - it's a keeper. I will definitely make them again!

A new fall tradition
Other than cutting back on the sugars a bit (I always do), I followed this recipe to a T. And then I had to make another DOUBLE batch the same day. We can't get enough of these. Remember to take them out about a minute before they look done because they really do continue cooking on the cookie sheet after they're out of the oven. I plan to add chocolate chips next time. And there WILL be a next time.

Number one cranberry oatmeal cookies
We have had all kinds of oatmeal cookies and loved them, but this cookie has to be the best oatmeal cookie we have ever ate. If you dont think you like cranberries because you tried them at Thanksgiving day when you were a kid, try them in these cookies as they give a whole new burst of flavor you never imagined. This recipe is the top cookie recipe for our family now.

These were delicious, and a nice departure from the traditional oatmeal raisin. Next time I make them though, I am going to reduce the sugar a bit, maybe the butter too. I'd like to feel like the oatmeal is giving me some benefit!
