Grill the Vegetables for extra flavor
Quick and easy recipe whose template I followed but substituting grilling the vegetables on the grill first before chopping them and covering them with chicken broth (using just olive oil and no butter). I also added, just before serving, freshly shucked green peas which gave the puree a crunch. Alternatively you could use crunchy fried Farro as a garnish along with the fresh chives.

Fabulous!
This should be absolutely delicious. Two questions: Can it be served cold ? (Sounds like it should) and Can you substitute Mexican-style "crema" for the creme fraiche ? (Crema's much more available in my area.)

Delicious
I made this soup on Sunday and served it hot. I cut the recipe in half because there just the two of us. Big mistake!!! I had a very small amount left over and we tried it cold on Monday. Just as good. I used my own broth, three small leeks and a large bunch of asparagus.
