TRULY YUMMY
Was looking for something to do with all my over-ripe bananas besides the usual banana bread. Made this exactly as printed for family and WOW - Fantastic bars! Loved the taste, moistness, sweet cream cheese frosting. Cut the sweetness a tad by serving vanilla icecream with the bar. Makes a lot of frosting. Even with putting it on thick, still had quite a bit left-over. Saved it in refrig and used it several days later to frost brownies. Double the yummy. Will make again...and again!

One of the best banana cake recipes EVER
The picture that accompanies this recipe doesn't do it justice. The cake is as fluffy as the frosting is sweet and delicious. We finished this cake off in 4 days... and there's only 2 of us in the house! I even used light sour cream and reduced fat cream cheese. To get your frosting as creamy as possible, buy confectioners' sugar that is 10x. If you can't find it, sift it well before adding it to the frosting. This one is a keeper for sure! - Gretchen @ You Want Me to Cook?

The BEST !
I make banana cake, bread, muffins often. This has become my "go to" recipe. The sour cream makes the difference. Excellent flavor and very moist ! Now I try different fruit and nut combinations to the batter. Last night I made the banana bars, AGAIN, but this time used a brown sugar penuche frosting, OMGosh, yum ! Easy to follow recipe and super tasty !

Yummy
Absolutely the best tasting banana cake, especially with the frosting. I did bake it in a smaller 9x13 pan for a taller cake. Just my preference. It was truely delicious and I certainly will make the cake again.

Fantastic!!!
This was a wonderful recipe. I think this is the best banana cake I have ever eaten!! The frosting makes alot, you could probably cut down the ingredient sizes. This is definitely the go-to recipe.

This is a great recipe.....I did make a change and add 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1 1/2 cups blueberries. I am always asked to make these again and for the recipe.

A Keeper
Made this last month and my chocoholic daughter actually requested it for her birthday party! It is that good... She usually wants "triple chocolate" cake - chocolate with chocolate frosting and chocolate sprinkles. This has no chocolate whatsoever and she wanted it instead - now that is saying something. We all loved it.

Amazing!
I made these Frosted Banana Bars lastnight and they are wonderful! So much flavor and very moist. Not to mention how simple they were to make. I substituted plain greek yogurt for the sour cream and they were still delicious. And the Cream Cheese Frosting was so good!! There were none left and everyone raved about them 'still' the next day. This is definitely a keeper and will be made again and again! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with us

I have been making these banana bars for years, and they are delish!! The only difference is 2 tsp vanilla and 1 1/2 cups (3 large) bananas. Also, always use butter. Very moist and very nummy!! A family favorite. You will not be disappointed!!
