Wow! I was surprised to see this recipe here. I've been baking this since 1975, the year I was married! I found it in my (new then) cookbook 'Better Homes and Gardens Heritage Cook Book' This is a great recipe and tastes like it would be difficult to make, but it's not!

I have made this recipe several times and it is wonderful. I add chopped almond nuts over the top of the jam. I used room temperature butter and cheese and fold them into the flour with a fork. I do not knead the dough. Once the cheese and butter is blended, I stop mixing. I turned the dough onto a lightly greased baking pan (with low sides) and roll it into a rectangle using the pan sides to gauge the thickness.I spread jam down the center, sprinkled almond nuts over the jam and braid it. This recipe will bring my family to the table quickly. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with me. We Love It!!
