Soooo disappointed!! and it was for guests
I followed the recipe so closely but doubled it because it says it makes 12 portions without defining the portion size and without saying approximately how many skewers you'll need. There were 12 guests coming for book club. I marinated the meat for four hours and broiled it, turning it once. The meat cooked up mushy and was way too salty. The sauce was okay but a store-bought sauce I had on hand was much better. Won't be making this recipe again!

Made Beef Satay for the first time. Glad I found this recipe as it was delicious. Wasn't sure about the peanut sauce on beef but it was great. Thanks for a outstanding recipe!

Turned it into a full meal--DELICIOUS
I added 1 T. lemongrass in the marinade, and decreased the amount of oil by half, and used canola oil instead of peanut oil, which worked out fine. After marinating it overnight, I realized it would be a shame to cover up the flavor with the dipping sauce, so I decided to just grill it, and turned it into a meal by placing it over rice noodles w/ cucumbers, shredded carrots, and chopped green onions, and topped it off with sauce (1 part fish sauce, 1 prt corn syrup, 1 p. vinegar, garlic, 4 water)

The Peanut dipping sauce was just to overwhelming for the beef. The marinade would have been sufficient
