Sugar in a Biscuit??
Without even trying this recipe, I know right off the bat it's a disgrace to Southern cooking. Sugar might be added to a biscuit dough to top a cobbler but never in a savory, buttermilk recipe. All the women in my family who made and still make biscuits from scratch daily would rather go without than add sugar to their dough!

Needs more fat!
There's not enough shortening in these biscuits to make them light, flaky and rich! Canola oil for a biscuit!Grab a can of Crisco or a brick of lard and come on down south and let us show you how to make a biscuit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
