Nothing fattening in this dip!
To Mark, et. al; white beans and garlic have virtually no fat and both are VERY good for you. High in protein and vitamins and antioxidants. However, if you are concerned, I would use OLIVE oil (which has GOOD fats) and cut it by 1/2. You don't need that much oil! I would also add that this is good with Tortilla chips. NOTE: Usually dips have a serving size of about 2 tbsps.

Suspicious serving size!
Since a half cup of olive oil (8 tablespoons) contains 960 calories and 112 grams of fat, the serving size would have to be extremely miniscule: less than a teaspoon! And that doesn't include the beans, which would add at least another 400 calories to the total. The recipe sounds good and I enjoyed the technique for making garlic puree, but one will be getting much more calories and fat than indicated.

Yum!!!
I made this dip for gathering of faculty and graduate students this past weekend. While the recipe is not a "put together in 10 minutes" kind of dip, the flavor more than makes up for it. I served this cold with homemade flat bread, but it would also be good with bagle chips or even hearty crackers.

Bad nutrition info
The recipe looks good, the nutrition info is encouraging, and at first glance this looks like a winner. However, whoever wrote the nutrition info neglected to tell us how big a serving is. Without that information the calories, fat, etc... is useless to someone trying to lose weight. My problem isn't with the recipe, per se, but with this website.
