As a child I remember my grandmother making these every Easter. They are great. She just used the juice from the pickled beets she made each summer. Cracking the egg shells but leaving them on gives a nice marbled effect.

Crazy looking but DELICIOUS!
These eggs are delicious! I went to college back in the early 70's in Pennsylvania and first laid my eyes on purple eggs! I couldn't believe what I was seeing and never, ever ate one, even though I loved hard boiled eggs. They just seemed so ODD, and they were! But, once I finally tried one, I was hooked! They have a very mild pickled taste, it really is according to how much spice is added to the marinade. They are not only colorful, but they are a hard boiled egg! What's not to like?!

Yum!
I love these eggs. I hate them all the time when I was a kid. Would take them in my lunch eventhough the other kids made fun of them. I'm 53! I do know the longer they soaked the better they were. Diane G. CO

Beautiful deviled eggs for Easter dinner
We have these every year for Easter dinner. My kids don't like pickled beets but they do love these. The eggs don't take the flavor of beets, just the color. And once you have had pickled eggs deviled, plain hard boiled eggs deviled are rather blah!
