Delicious, but something's missing
Yes, it is delicious. The tart apples give it a great taste and texture. However, the recipe has a problem. It says "... return to a simmer. Remove from the heat; stir in ..." Something is missing here. It makes no sense to set the stove to a simmer then immediately remove the dish from the stove.

Awesome!
This soup is out of this world, easily the best I've ever made. The toasted almonds and lemon juice added at the end (we added it individually in each bowl) give it a wonderful crunch and tang! I doubled the recipe so that I wouldn't have leftover coconut milk but, because we like soup with a lot of broth, I only doubled the liquids and spices, not the chicken, apples, etc. Plus, I used pearl barley instead of rice, simply because we prefer it. The whole family loved this soup!

No Flavor
This was a really blah recipe. Won't make it again. But I must say the dog loved it.

This is restaurant quality
OK, this was soooo good and healthy, too. The only substitution was chicken breast instead of tenders. I've made a lot of recipes from here but this was the the first for me to review because it was so good.

Delicious
Tasty, spices just right, lime gives a real pop...a full meal with the rice and chicken...a keeper.

This is not Mulligatawny Soup!
Sorry to say this and burst your bubble! This is not and nowhere close to a Mulligatawny soup. That soup is name after 'Mulaguthanni' meaning Pepper water! It is supposed to be a light and simple soup which is in many ways closer to a Rasam' recipe with Chicken in it. This one sounds great but closer to a Thai soup rather than a Mulligatawny soup!
