Unbelievably Delicious and Easy Pot Roast

Take packages of Lipton Beefy Onion Soup mix and Ranch dressing and the 2 tbsp. of flour (I prefer the rice flour because it is so light) and packages together mixing so the seasonings are mixed together well.

Place meat in mixture, making sure all sides are coated with the dry ingredients.

In a pot sufficient to hold brown the meat or a pan if you are intending to put the meal together in a crock pot brown the piece of meat slightly on all sides searing the outside of the meat.

Once the meat is seared or transferred to the crock pot add the 2 cups of water, soy sauce, worchester sauce and baby carrots to pot.

Cover and cook in a 300-350 oven or in crock pot

Check liquid in the pot occasionally

adding potatoes at the last 30 minutes of cooking

Make sure you have enough water in the bottom of the pot to cook the carrots and not dry out.

After the meat is done remove all of the meat and carrots

and thicken the remaining liquid in the pot for gravy

The slower the better!

And the leftovers if there are any make for a great sandwich!

NOTE FOR COOKING TIME:

The recommended cooking times for roasts average about 38 - 45 minutes per pound of meat. If you're cooking a 5-lb. roast, you should roast it for about two hours and then test it for tenderness. If the meat does not break away easily with a fork, put the lid back on the pot and let it cook for another hour before you try it again.
