This authentic Korean recipe guarantees no left-overs.
5lbs or Short Ribs
1 cup of sugar
1 ½ cups of soy sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons baked sesame seeds
1 cup chopped green onion
½ cup chopped garlic
1 teaspoon sesame oil

Combine all ingredients and marinate cross cut short ribs for 5 + hours.

Grill until desired doneness. Sugar will burn, so watch closely.

Korean BBQ Cross Cut Ribs
Have done these for years. My recipe: 6# Flankin or cross cut ribs are butterflied out to about a 1/4" thickness leaving the bones on (or butterflied skirt steak), Mix together: 1/2C brown sugar, 1T chili oil, 1T sesame oil, 2T toasted sesame seeds, 7 scallions diag thin cut, 1C soy sauce, 2T hoisin sauce, 1T black bean garlic sauce and 4 cloves garlic, minced. Marinade meat in gal. zip lock baggie for 3 hrs. Grill on hot BBQ quickly. Don't over cook! Med rare is best unless you like beef jerky!
