Mel's Baked Mac n' Cheese

RECIPE INGREDIENTS
The Cheesy Macaroni Stuff:
8 oz macaroni
1/3 cup margarine
1/4 cup Edam Cheese
1/2 cup Apple Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup Colby jack cheese
2/3 cup Bacon bits (optional)
1/2 cup milk
The Topping:
1 can creamed corn (optional)
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup crushed croutons
1/4 cup french's dried onions
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp pepper
pinch of sugar
1/2 cup melted butter OR spray butter
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.


1.) Boil & Drain Macaroni


------While Macaroni is boiling mix together all the ingredients for the topping EXCEPT the melted butter.


2.) Mix cheese, bacon, milk & margarine in with the noodles


3.) Pour mac n' cheese evenly into 3 QT rectangle pan


------Sometimes I put a layer of creamed corn on before the topping. (optional)


4.) Spread the topping mix over the mac n' cheese.


5.) Spray butter or slowly pour the melted butter over the topping, you may need to use more butter for an even coat.


6.) Bake at 350 degrees for 15 mins


7.) Broil (uncovered) for 3 mins


Ovens do vary so keep an eye on it while its broiling.
