Delicious Recipe
This came out great. I did use the full 16 oz package of split peas instead of the 1-1/4 cup. I also used the 7 cups of water suggested, but I let the soup simmer about 1 hour 15 minutes before puree-ing. The soup was thick and creamy. Everyone enjoyed the soup!

My family (including two kids under three) loved this recipe. Great flavor.

I used my entire package of split peas though -- totaling about 2 cups, and I used the same amount of water as the recipe indicated. I thought it was a little too watery. It didn't come out as thick as it appears in the photo. I'll use 6 cups of water next time. I also used a ham steak instead of the bacon.
