YUK
I would have given it 0 points if possible. Having been a baker for 40 years, it wasn't inexperience that made these bad. No flavor, dry, unappealing visually. Tried a bite 3 different times, thinking maybe they'd improve with being fully cool, or the next day. Each bite went in the sink. They did look better once they were in the trash can. Waste of time and ingredients. YUK.

This is a GREAT RECIPE,,,
This is a wonderful recipe, my family loves it my boyfriend cant get enough of them, its easy and fast, I have also used Peanut Butter chips and added a little bit more of the Oats to the recipe for more of a thicker top layer, and I use only 1/2 a can of the condensed milk and it works out much better,,,Simply Wonderful :o) thank you

These bars are great for work or school, almost like granola bars, just with the chocolate in the middle. They are easy to make too!

Making these for 40 years!
We always called them fudge nut bars and I have made them so many times over the years. These days I use oat flour to put a healthier spin on them. I love the oaty flavor. They are really good and maybe my favorite sweet.

Best ever
I've made this same recipe many times. Crumbling the top layer is a pain, but it doesn't have to be a smooth layer completely covering the fudge layer. I crumble the best I can and then smooth out the layer with my hands while gently pressing down. Another method to try: Freeze the dough for that layer and then process while frozen in a food processor or grate with a hand grater before spreading on top.

this recipe is awesome. I made it the other day for my husband. i didn't have semi sweet chocolate chips on hand. i had the swirl ones that are white chocolate and semi sweet mixed. i also had pecans instead of walnuts. i used unsalted butter, not margarine and the results were delicious. This makes a lot. i put some in zip lock bags and stuck them in the freezer for later.Very easy to make.I even added about a quarter of a cup or so of chopped pecans on top before i baked them, as i like a lot
of nuts.i used a portable hand mixer with this and had no problem. the dough was very buttery so i had no problem dropping it in batches on top before i baked it. i think the real butter helped with that.

This recipe is DELICIOUS. I made it for a party at my house and everyone raved about it. As soon as my husband ate the last piece, he begged me
to make another batch. You do have to use a KitchenAid or other heavy-duty mixed to put this together. The dough gets pretty thick. Also, the recipe calls for using 2/3 of the dough on the bottom and then to 'sprinkle' the remaining 1/3 on top of the chocolate layer. The dough does not sprinkle because it's so thick, so the second time I made it, I rolled the dough out and gently put it on top. You will not be disappointed with the taste of this dessert.
