Chocolate Meringue Pie

1 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups milk
3 egg yolks ( save the whites for the meringue)
2 tablespons cocoa powder
1 tablespoon butter
1 9 inch baked pie shell
2 tablespoons powdered sugar for the egg whites
Mix sugar, cocoa, salt, and flour together in a large sauce pan. Then add the milk, egg yokes into the flour mixture. Bring to low boil and wisk until it get thick, the add vanill and butter. Remove from heat and pour into cooled pie shell. Top with meringue.

Beat the 3 egg whites until stiff adding 2 tablespoons powdered sugar as you beat the egg whiles


325 until the top starts to get slightly browned.

Don't want meringue on top, just use a 8oz Cool whip instead.
