Make sure the pan is very well greased. I use a pastry brush to apply solid shortening. Any red wine that you would drink will do
For the cake:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 small package instant vanilla pudding
3/4 cup of water
1/4 cup red wine
3/4 cup oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
4 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
For the glaze:
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/8 cup water
1/8 cup red wine
For the cake:

Mix all ingredients together except pecans.

Sprinkle pecans in the bottom of a very well greased bundt pan.

Pour cake batter over pecans.


325 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

For the glaze:

Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil.

Boil 2-3 minutes.

Pour over cake while it is still hot and in the pan.

Remove cake to a plate and spoon remaining glaze over cake

Wonderfully moist cake
I have made this cake many times and it is so moist!!! I work at a Golf Course and this is the most requested cake from everyone--the only different thing I do is instead of instant vanilla pudding--I add instant cheesecake pudding. Have done it both ways and it is DELICIOUS!!!
